Baby Products That Work Great for Mom, Too!

The number of baby products on the market is staggering.  I have spent hours on diapers.com, comparing brands, prices, ingredients and ratings for everything from diapers to sippy cups, shampoos to utensils, sleep sacks to bottles.  In my quest to find the best [insert product name], I stumbled across an exciting truth: some of the baby products are great for adults!  What I love about these dual-purpose products is that they smell great, are gentle and non-irritating, and are much more affordable than adult products.  Here’s five baby products that I use on a regular basis:

California Baby Calming Hair De-Tangler: Noelle has a few curls, so I initially bought this de-tangler to spray on her hair after her bath.  One day, I decided to try it on my hair, and it worked great.  This products helps get out all the tangles and makes combing through Noelle’s curls and my straight hair a yummy-smelling breeze!

Baby wipes: baby wipes are great for removing those annoying white deodorant stains from clothes. They are also great for removing makeup when I don’t have makeup remover handy, or I’m too lazy to wash my face at the end of a long day.

Johnson’s Baby Bedtime Bath: I love to relax in a bubble bath at night.  One of the best smelling bubble bath products I’ve used is the same bubble bath I use in Noelle’s bath – Johnson’s Baby Bedtime Bath.  It’s gentle and moisturizing and claims to release calming scents which help babies sleep better.  All I know is that I sleep like a baby after a bath with this product!

Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment: This truly is a miracle product.  I use it daily on Noelle’s diaper area (no diaper rashes in 13 months, knock on wood!), and I slather it all over her arms and legs, or wherever her skin looks a little dry.  I love this product as a hand lotion and as a lip balm, so I carry a tube of it everywhere I go!  Another tip: if your feet are feeling dry, put this ointment on them and put thick socks on over night.  Your feet will feel soft as a baby’s in the morning!

Johnson’s Baby Powder Lavender and Chamomile: If Noelle is feeling hot or sticky, I sprinkle this powder on her and it keeps her dry and fresh.  I also sprinkle this powder onto the roots of my hair to absorb oil and give my hair some texture on days when I don’t wash it. Of all the baby powder scents, this one is my absolute favorite – it smells heavenly!

Let me know if you also use any of these  products or decide to give one a try; I think you’ll be very pleasantly surprised by how much you love them.

xoxo, Natasha
